Vieses nas publicações contabilísticas: mitos e verdades

O viés de publicação representa um desafio significativo para a qualidade e a credibilidade da produção científica devido à sua influência na disseminação e interpretação dos resultados de pesquisa. O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever os principais mitos e verdades relacionados aos vieses presentes nas publicações científicas. Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura seguindo as diretrizes PRISMA. A busca foi conduzida na base de dados Scopus, identificando 96 registros, dos quais 54 artigos atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e foram analisados por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa e análise temática de conteúdo. Os resultados mostram que a integridade científica, a ética em publicação e as más práticas científicas constituem os principais temas abordados pela literatura recente. Além disso, foram identificados mitos relacionados à suposta infalibilidade da revisão por pares e à percepção de que os problemas de integridade científica são casos isolados. Conclui-se que o viés de publicação continua sendo um desafio persistente e que a transparência, a ciência aberta e as boas práticas editoriais contribuem para sua mitigação
