The present investigation exposes the importance of soft skills and their impact on the auditor’s professional performance in the fight against acts of corruption. It is considered as context the lack of training in soft skills, criteria that strengthen the capabilities of the accounting professional and their interpersonal relationships from a comprehensive approach, while its application would enable efficient performance, and, in turn, the prevention and detection of functional misconduct or acts of corruption. Likewise, it is based on a method of documentary and bibliographic analysis, with the objective of supporting the need for universities and professional associations to strengthen soft skills through workshops and training.
